Barcelona has something quite curious about its climate: tropical plants adapt very well to shaded gardens because, surprisingly, the conditions are similar to those they need to thrive — hot, humid summers and mild winters.

This shade garden in the heart of Gràcia is a natural refuge, a little piece of tropical jungle with very low maintenance. Alocasias, bird of paradise plants, Monstera deliciosa, ficus, senecios and climbing plants grow with exuberance, creating a true haven of shade and greenery with a contemporary feel.

The vegetation extends into the house through a large glass façade, creating a beautiful scene of nature in the middle of the city.
